PERBANDINGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INFORMATION SEARCH DAN STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISION

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Information Search atau Student Teams Achivement Division yang memiliki hasil belajar kognitif paling tinggi.

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 3 Boyolali tahun ajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 117 siswa. Sampel diambil dari seluruh populasi yaitu terdiri dari 29 siswa  kelas eksperimen I dan 29 siswa kelas eksperimen II. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data diambil dengan metode dokumentasi untuk mengetahui nilai ulangan siswa dan metode  tes dengan melakukan pre-test dan post-test untuk memperoleh nilai awal sebelum perlakuan dan nilai sesudah perlakuan. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes formatif pilihan ganda. Teknik prasyarat analisis yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors dan uji homogenitas. Teknik untuk menguji hipotesis adalah uji-t dua pihak pada taraf signifikansi 5%.

Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif akuntansi antara penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Group Information Search dengan Student Teams Achievement Division. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan sig. 0,001 atau kurang dari 0,05 pada taraf signifikansi 5% dan df = 56. Kelas eksperimen I memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 83,03 sedangkan kelas eksperimen II memiliki nilai rata-rata 73,38. Siswa yang telah mencapai nilai ≥ 75 dari kelas eksperimen I sebesar 86,2% sedangkan kelas eksperimen II sebesar 72,4%.

Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif akuntansi lebih tinggi sebesar 13,8% dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Information Search.

ABSTRACT

The objective of research was to find out the accounting cognitive learning outcomes highest between the application of Group Information Search and Student Teams Achievement Division types of cooperative learning models.

This study employed an experimental method. The population of research was the XI IPS (Social Science) Graders of SMA Negeri Boyolali in the school year of 2012/2013 consisting of 117 students. The sample, taken from entire population, consisted of 29 students in experiment I and 29 students in experiment II classes. Techniques of collecting data used were documentation to find out the student quiz score and test methods with pretest and posttest to find out the score before and that after treatment. The research instrument used was a multiple-choice formative test. The analysis prerequisite technique used was normality test using Liliefors and homogeneity tests. The hypothesis testing was done using pair wise t test at significance level of 5%.

Considering the result of data analysis, there was a difference of accounting cognitive learning outcomes between the application of Group Information Search and Student Teams Achievement Division types of cooperative learning models. The result of t-test showed sig. 0.001 or less than 0.05 at significance level of 5% and df = 56. The experiment I class had mean value of 83.03 while experiment II class had mean value of 73.38. 86.2% of students achieved ≥ 75 value in experiment I class and 72.4% of students in experiment II class.

The elaboration above, the application of Student Teams Achievement Division was 13.8% more high in improving the students’ Accounting cognitive outcomes than that of Group Information Search type.
