Abstract


Abstract:. The main purpose of this study is to find out the differences and find out which is better between the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model applying the Science Education for Sustainability approach with the conventional learning model on the ability to solve problems for grade VII students of SMP Ma'arif 1 Ponorogo. This research is a quantitative study, using quasi-experimental methods with pretest-posttest design. The research sample was delivered by him, class VII A and VII B at SMP Ma'arif 1 Ponorogo. Data collection techniques using tests and observation sheets analyzed descriptively quantitatively and statistically inferentially using t-tests. The research instrument here is in the form of a description question given after the application of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model with the Science Education for Sustainability approach. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the average score of the student's ability in the experimental class of 56.4 can then it can increase by 84.8. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that, data processing using one-tailed t-test, there is a significant difference in the ability to solve student problems between the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model and the Science Education for Sustainability approach with the conventional learning model. This shows that the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model and the Science Education for Sustainability approach are effective in solving problem-solving abilities in students.

Abstrak: Tujuan utama penelitian ini, untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan dan mencari mana yang lebih baik antara model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) menerapkan pendekatan Science Education for Sustainability dengan model pembelajaran konvensional pada kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah siswa kelas VII SMP Ma’arif 1 Ponorogo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen dengan pretest-posttest desain. Sampel penelitian diantarnya, kelas VII A dan VII B di SMP Ma’arif 1 Ponorogo. Tehnik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tes dan lembar observasi yang dianalisis secara deskristif kuantitatif dan statistik inferensial menggunakan uji-t. Instrumen penelitian di sini berupa soal uraian yang diberikan setelah dilakukan penerapan model Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dengan pendekatan Science Education for Sustainability. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan siswa pada kelas eksperimen 56,4 kemudian dapat  meningkat sebesar 84,8. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa, pengolahan data menggunakan uji-t one-tailed terdapat adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah siswa antara model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dan pendekatan Science Education for Sustainability dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa, model pembelajaran Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dan pendekatan Science Education for Sustainability efektif terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah pada siswa.
