PENERAPAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE THE POWER OF TWO UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MENGHITUNG PECAHAN CAMPURAN

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to improve the ability to calculate fractions of the mixture by applying the model of cooperative The Power of Two. This research used the classroom action research method with three cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the research were the students in grade V of State Primary School 1 of Bendan academic year 2013/ 2014 as many as 28 students. Analysis of the data used interactive analysis model. The data validity used data triangulation and technique triangulation. The data of the research were gathered from the teacher and students through tests, interviews, documentations, and observations. Conclusions This study is the application of the cooperative model of The Power of Two to increase the score of the ability to calculate fractions mix operations.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menghitung pecahan campuran dengan menerapkan model kooperatif tipe The Power of Two. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) sebanyak tiga siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Bendan Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 yang berjumlah 28 siswa dan guru kelas V. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah hasil tes, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model kooperatif tipe The Power of Two dapat meningkatkan nilai kemampuan menghitung operasi pecahan campuran.
