PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP KENAMPAKAN PERMUKAAN BUMI MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PICTURE AND PICTURE PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


Abstract: The objective of this research is to improve the conceptual understanding on earth surface appearance through Picture and Picture method in Natural Science subject matter of the students in Grade III of State Primary School Tegalsari 60 in Academic Year 2017/208. This research used the classroom action research (CAR) with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings, and each meeting had four stages. Its data were collected through observation, interview and examination. The validity of the data was checked with source triangulation and technique triangulation. They were analyzed by using the interactive model of analysis. Prior to the treatment, the students who could attain the classical learning completeness was 11.11% with the average score of 40.47. Following the treatments, it became 62.96% with the average score of 67.41 and 92.59% with the average score of 80.20 respectively. Based on the result of the research, Picture and Picture method can improve the conceptual understanding of earth surface appearance of the students in Grade III of State Primary School Tegalsari in Academic Year 2017/2018.

 

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep kenampakan permukaan bumi melalui model pembelajaran Picture and Picture dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam siswa kelas III SD Negeri Tegalsari No.60 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas dua pertemuan dan empat tahapan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Teknik uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Model analisis data yang digunakan adalah model analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas diketahui bahwa ketuntasan klasikal pada kondisi awal 11,11% dengan nilai rata-rata 40,47. Pada siklus I ketuntasan klasikal sebanyak 62,96% dengan nilai rata-rata 67,41. Pada siklus II ketuntasan klasikal meningkat menjadi 92,59% dengan nilai rata-rata 80,20. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penggunaan model Picture and Picture dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep kenampakan permukaan bumi siswa kelas III SD Negerti Tegalsari tahun ajaran 2017/2018.
