PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR TEMATIK MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN EXAMPLE NON EXAMPLE SISWA KELAS V SD

Abstract

Abstract. The aim of the research is to find out whether an increase in thematic learning outcomes can be pursued through the example non-example learning model. The research subjects were 27 grade V students at SDN Mangunsari 04 Salatiga. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) which uses a spiral model from Kemmis and MC Taggart, with 2 cycles of research procedures, each of which consists of 3 stages: 1) planning, 2) implementation and observation, 3) reflection. Data collection techniques in this study with tests and non-tests. Test instruments in the form of items, and non-test instruments in the form of observation sheets. The results showed that there was an increase in thematic learning outcomes pursued through the example non-example learning model. This is shown by the increase in learning outcomes based on completeness, namely the number of students who completed before the action as many as 10 students (37.04% of all students). After being given the action in the first cycle, the number of students who completed learning increased to 18 students (66.70% of all students), and in the second cycle, the number of students completed became 25 students (92.59% of all students). Learning that takes place in the example non- example learning model, uses steps namely a) preparing the water cycle picture, b) listening to the water cycle picture attached to the blackboard, 3) listening to the explanation of the learning to be carried out, 4) forming a group of 3 students, 5) analyze the picture of the water cycle process, 6) record the results of the image analysis of the water cycle process, 7) report the results of group discussions, and 8) conclusions. Based on the results of classroom action research (CAR) in class V SD 1) students should be involved in learning activities using example non-example learning models to improve thematic learning outcomes, 2) teachers should be able to design thematic learning through example non-example learning models, and measure results

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui apakah peningkatan hasil belajar tematik dapat diupayakan melalui model pembelajaran example non example. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas V SDN Mangunsari 04 Salatiga berjumlah 27 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan  penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang menggunakan model spiral dari Kemmis dan MC Taggart, dengan prosedur penelitian 2 siklus, yang masing-masing siklus terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan dan pengamatan, 3) refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan tes dan non tes. Instrumen tes berupa butir soal, dan instrumen non tes berupa lembar observasi. Hasil  penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar tematik yang diupayakan melalui model pembelajaran example non example. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan hasil belajar berdasar ketuntasan yakni banyaknya siswa yang tuntas sebelum tindakan sebanyak 10 siswa (37,04% dari seluruh siswa). Setelah diberikan tindakan pada siklus I, jumlah siswa  yang tuntas belajar meningkat menjadi 18 siswa (66,70% dari seluruh siswa), dan pada siklus II, jumlah siswa yang tuntas menjadi 25 siswa (92,59% dari seluruh siswa). Pembelajaran yang berlangsung dalam model pembelajaran example non example, menggunakan langkah-langkah yaitu a)mempersiapkan gambar siklus air, b)menyimak gambar siklus air yang ditempel pada papan tulis, 3) menyimak penjelasan pembelajaran yang akan dilaksanakan, 4)membentuk kelompok teridir dari 3 siswa, 5) menganalisis gambar proses siklus air, 6) mencatat hasil analisis gambar proses siklus air, 7) membuat laporan hasil diskusi kelompok, dan 8) kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dikelas V SD 1)siswa hendaknya terlibat dalam kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran example non example untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar tematik, 2) hendaknya guru dapat mendesain pembelajaran tematik melalui model pembelajaran example non example, serta melakukan pengukuran hasil.
