PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TEAMS GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) BERBANTUAN SEMPOA BOTOL PADA SISWA KELAS IV SD

Abstract


Abstract. The purpose of this research is to improve students' learning motivation through the use of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model of aided abacus bottle in learning Mathematics. Motivation to learn mathematics of students seen from desire and desire succeed, encouragement and needs in learning, hope and aspiration of the future , awards in learning, The existence of interesting activities in learning, a conducive learning environment that allows learners to learn well .. The research subjects of grade 4 SDN Gendongan 01, Salatiga City amounted to 37 students. The type of research is classroom action research with PTK model. The study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of three meetings. Technique of taking data that is observation and motivation scale. Data analysis techniques in the form of quantitative descriptive analysis techniques and qualitative. The results showed that the motivation of learning grade 4 SDN Gendongan 01 in learning mathematics can be increased through the use of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model supported by bottle sempoa. In the first cycle, the results showed that 59% of students achieved high motivation criteria, while 41% were medium motivation criteria. In cycle II, the use of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model with the auxiliary sempoa bottle accompanied by improvements in the form of students motivated to inquire by showing the bottle abacus media, the type of game modified into games performed in front of the class as well as competing with other groups, and the delivery of opinions is done through actions that contribute to completing the game. The results showed that 89% of students achieved motivation to learn on high criteria

 

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar matematika siswa melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan sempoa botol dalam pembelajaran Matematika.Motivasi belajar matematika siswa dilihat dari hasrat dan keinginan berhasil, dorongan dan kebutuhan dalam belajar,  harapan dan cita-cita masa depan, penghargaan dalam belajar, Adanya kegiatan yang menarik dalam belajar, lingkungan belajar yang kondusif sehingga memungkinkan peserta didik dapat belajar dengan baik.. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas 4 SDN Gendongan 01, Kota Salatiga berjumlah 37 siswa. Jenis penelitian yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas dengan model PTK. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari tiga  kali pertemuan. Teknik pengambilan data yaitu pengamatan dan skala motivasi. Teknik analisis data berupa teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitataif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar siswa kelas 4 SDN Gendongan 01 dalam pembelajaran matematika dapat meningkat melalui penggunaan model pembelajaran Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan sempoa botol. Pada siklus I, hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa 59% siswa mencapai kriteria motivasi tinggi, sedangkan 41% kriteria motivasi sedang. Pada siklus II, penggunaan model Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan sempoa botol disertai perbaikan tindakan berupa siswa dimotivasi untuk bertanya dengan menunjukkan media sempoa botol, jenis permainan dimodifikasi menjadi permainan yang dilakukan di depan kelas serta berkompetisi dengan kelompok lain, dan penyampaian pendapat dilakukan melalui tindakan yang berkontribusi untuk menyelesaikan permainan. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan bahwa 89% siswa mencapai motivasi belajar pada kriteria tinggi.
