Abstract


The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of learning process and the conclusion skills through learning model of 5E Learning Cycle in fourth grade students of State Primary School of Tunggulsari I in the academic year 2016/2017. This research form is Classroom Action Research (CAR) and it was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consist of four steps, they are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subject is the fourth grade students of State Primary School of Tunggulsari I Surakarta in the academic year 2016/2017) consist of 33 students. The source of data came from teacher, data value of conclusion skills in precycles and data value of conclusion skills in two cycles. The data collecting technique used are observation, interview, portofolio, test, and document. The data validity used triangulation of resources and triangulation of technique. The data analysis technique was interactive analys model consisting of the three components, the are data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The result of classroom action researches describe that quality of learning process conclusion skill include result of teacher activity, learning effectiveness, students activity, students attitude, and result of students evalution increase from cycle I and cycle II. The average value before action is 61,21 with classical completeness is 36,36%. On the cycle I, the average value of student rising to 75,03 with classical completeness is 78,78%. On the cycle II, the average value of student rising to 88,85 with classical completeness is 87,88%. Based on the research result, it can be concluded that through 5E Learning Cycle model can improving the quality of learning process and conclusion skills through in the fourth grade students of State Primary School of Tunggulsari I in the academic year 2016/2017.
