Abstract: Sulasih, The Use of Cooperative Script Models with Newspaper Reading Materials to Improve Intensive Reading Skills at the Fourth Grade Students of SDN Peneket in the Academic Year of 2014/2015. The objectives of this research to describe the steps of Cooperative Script models with newspaper reading materials, and improve intensive reading skills at fourth grade students of SDN Peneket. The research was conducted in three cycles, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The steps of Cooperative Script models with newspaper reading materials are formation of group, distribution of newspaper reading materials, division of roles, presentation, exchanging of role, and conclusion. The subjects of this research was 29 students of SDN Peneket. The results is, 57,64% in the first cycle, 85,19% in the second cycle, and 93,11% in the third cycle. The conclusion of this research is the use of Cooperative Script models with newspaper reading materials can improve intensive reading skills at the fourth grade students of SDN Peneket in the academic year of 2014/2015. Keywords: Cooperative Script, newspaper reading materials, intensive reading skills
