Abstract


Forming the character of a virtuous child is one of the great goals of education in addition to developing academic potential. The erosion of good character in children is one of the causes of the emergence of various cases of violence both in the realm of education in particular or in social life in general. The phenomenon of bullying, seniority, violence, bullying, fighting or various other non-immoral acts makes one a reminder that the inculcation of the values of character education on the educational bench is very important. One of the media that can be used as an example in the cultivation of character education for children is a character in reading books. This study raises the character of Kartini's figure which is reflected in a novel written by Pramoedya Ananta Toer with the title Call Me Kartini Saja. This study uses qualitative research methods with three stages of analysis namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded that the novel by Pramoedya Ananta Toer with the title Call Me Kartini Saja. Can be an inspiration for the inculcation of virtue character education values in children. The various values of character education are presented in Kartini's character in carrying out her daily life, both within the scope of the family, with friends, carrying out customs, attending school, the community, or even widely in the state.
