PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN METODE INQUIRY DAN PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SEJARAH DITINJAU DARI KREATIVITAS SISWA KELAS X SMK NEGERI DI KABUPATEN BLITAR TAHUN AJARAN 2013/2014

The purposes of this study are to determine and to analyze (1) The influence differences of inquiry and problem solving methods toward history learning achievement (2) The influence differences of the students’ high and low creativities toward history learning achievement (3) The influence of interaction between learning method and students’ creativity toward history learning achievement.
The population in this study is the students of class X of SMK Negeri in Blitar Regency. The samples in this study are students of class X of SMK Negeri 1 Udanawu and SMK Negeri 1 Kademangan . The sampling technique is done by using a multistage cluster random sampling. The research method used in this study is an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. The data obtained from the analysis of the use of inquiry and problem solving methods, students’ creativity and history learning achievement is analyzed using two- way ANOVA.
The results of this study are: (1) There are differences in the influence of inquiry and problem solving methods toward history learning achievement. Student learning achievement of history using problem solving method is better than student learning achievement of history using inquiry method. Achievement of history using problem solving method obtains an average (mean = 79.030) and achievement of history using the inquiry method obtains an average (mean = 77.189). (2) There are differences in the influence of students' high and low creativity toward history learning achievement. Achievement of student learning history with high creativity is better than with achievement of student learning history with high creativity. At the height creativity obtains an average (mean = 81.672) while low creativity obtains an average (mean = 74.547). (3) There is no influence in interaction of learning methods and students’ creativity. Student who have high creativity in the application of problem solving method have achievements better than students who have high creativity in the application of inquiry method. Meanwhile, students who have low creativity in the application of problem solving method have achievements better than students who have low creativity in the application of inquiry method.
