Abstract


The purpose of this study was to describe the teacher development process of UPTD 2 Selo Public
Elementary School in Tawangharjo District, Grobogan Regency in the first semester of 2016/2017 academic year in
improving the ability of teachers to develop assessment and evaluation tools and to determine the ability of teachers
in SD Negeri 2 Selo, UPTD Education District Tawangharjo District Grobogan, in preparing assessment and
evaluation tools, semester I of the 2016/2017 school year. This school action research took place for approximately 3
(three) months starting from September to November 2016. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Selo UPTD
Education Tawangharjo District, Grobogan District. Data analysis in this study uses comparative descriptive analysis.
The results of the study through ongoing coaching can improve the ability of teachers in compiling assessment and
evaluation tools in SD Negeri 2 Selo, UPTD Education Tawangharjo District in the first semester of the 2016/2017
school year. This is evidenced by the increase in the ability of teachers from the poor category to be good. Increasing
the ability of teachers in compiling assessment and evaluation tools is shown by an increase in the average score of
prasiklus by 45.56, increasing in the first cycle to 71.11, and increasing again in the second cycle to 81.86. The
highest score of the cycle was 63.33, increasing in the first cycle to 80, increasing again in the second cycle to 90. The
lowest value in the pre-cycle was 2405, increasing in the first cycle to 66.67, increasing again in the second cycle to
76.67
