PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN MENYIMPULKAN ISI CERITA MELALUI METODE PEMBELAJARAN SQ3R (SURVEY, QUESTION, READ, RECITE, REVIEW)

Abstract


Abstract: The objective of this research is to improve: (1) The quality of learning process of competences in drawing conclusion from story by using SQ3R (survey, question, read, recite, review) learning method on the students at grade V of primary school of SD Negeri 1 Temuwangi in academic year of 2015/2016; (2) Competences of drawing conclusion from story by using SQ3R (survey, question, read, recite, review) learning method. This research was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with cycle model. This research last in two cycles. Each cycle consist of four stages, there are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the research were teacher and students at grade V of SD Negeri 1 Temuwangi. This research was using test, observation, interview, and documentation as data collection techniques. The data were validated by using source triangulation and triangulation technique. The data were analyzed by using critical analysis technique, comparative descriptive technique, and interactive analysis model. The result of the research shows the improvement ofquality of learning process andcompetence on drawing conclusion of story. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) learning method could improvethe competence on drawing conclusion of a story.

 

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran kemampuan menyimpulkan isi cerita melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Temuwangi tahun ajaran 2015/2016; (2) meningkatkan kemampuan menyimpulkan isi cerita melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Temuwangi tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Penelitian ini berbentuk penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model siklus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Temuwangi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah teknis tes, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi. Teknik uji validitas data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis kritis, teknik deskriptif komparatif dan model analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kualitas proses pembelajaran dan kemampuan menyimpulkan isi cerita. Berdasarkan analisi data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review) berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan menyimpulkan isi cerita pada siswa kelas V SD
