Abstract


The purpose of action research that will be achieved to increase the skills of solving the problem story up even through Quantum Learning teaching model the fifth grade students of elementary school 01 Kaliwiro regency in Wonosobo Academic Year 2010/2011.The subject of this classroom action research is the fifth grade students of elementary school 01 Kaliwiro regency in Wonosobo Academic Year 2010/2011 consists of 29. While the object is the students skills in solving word problem on a flat wake. Form of this study was classroom action research uses a model cycle. The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation of the action, observation, and reflection. Data collection technique were used observation, test and documentation. The data analysis technique used consists of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The validity of the data is used triangulation of data and triangulation methods. Data analysis technique is used a model of interactive analysis.Based on this research can be concluded that the use of the Quantum Learning model of learning can improve problem-solving skills up a story about a flat fifth grade students of elementary school 01 Kaliwiro regency in Wonosobo. This can be seen from the Mathematics learning activities in particular to solving problems up story about of students.This increase can be seen from the results of tests completed about a story about up even students who demonstrate improvement in pre-action the average value of 60,51 classes with classical thoroughness 44.82%. In the first cycle shows the average value reached 63,10 and thoroughness class classical increase to 62.93%. In cycle II, the average value increase to 67.93 class classical and completeness increase to 80.17%.
