PENERAPAN METODE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS PUISI

Abstract


Abstract: The purpose of the research is to improve writing poetry skills in the fifth grade students of primary school of SDN Bratan 3 Surakarta academic year 2015/2016 through the Experiential Learning  methods. This research took classroom action research. It conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases there are planning, implementation, observation, and reflection.The subjects of this research were  teacher and students of fifth grade of SDN Bratan 3 Surakarta as many as 30 students. The data of this research were collected from the teacher and the students through observation, interview, documentation, and test. The data validity used were instrument contents validity, source triangulation, and technique triangulation. The data analysis using the technique of interactive description. The pretest results showed that the writing poetry skills only reach 37% completeness. Following the treatment this minimum learning completeness increase become 53,3% in a cycle I, 83,3% in a cycle II, and 93,3% in cycle III. Based on the results is Experiential Learning methods can improve the skills of writing poetry on the students in grade V of SDN Bratan 3 Surakarta Academic year 2015/2016.

 

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi pada siswa kelas V SDN Bratan 3 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2015/2016 melalui penerapan metode Experiential Learning. Bentuk penelitian ini penelitian tindakan kelas. Dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa yang berjumlah 30 dan guru kelas V SDN Bratan 3 Surakarta. Sumber data berasal dari siswa dan guru. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah hasil observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes. Validitas data yang digunakan adalah validitas isi instrumen, triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif interaktif. Hasil pretest menunjukkan persentase  ketuntasan siswa kelas hanya sebesar 37%. Pada siklus I, persentase ketuntasan kelas 53,3%, siklus II 83,3%, dan siklus III 93,3%. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode Experiential Learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis puisi pada siswa kelas V SDN Bratan 3 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2015/2016.
