PENERAPAN STRATEGI REACT (RELATING, EXPERIENCING, APPLYING, COOPERATING, TRANSFERRING) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BEREKSPERIMEN PADA PEMBELAJARAN IPA

Abstract


Abstract: The aim of this research was to improve the experimenting skill of science learning through REACT strategy (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) in V-3 grade students of  Mangkubumen Lor No.15 Surakarta Elementary School in the academic year of 2015/ 2016. This research was the Classroom Action Research (CAR), it was consist of three cycles and each cycle was held in two confluences. The data collection techniques were observation, interview, portofolio, test, and documentation. The data validity used triangulation. The data anylisis technique was interactive model. Based on the results of this research could be concluded that with the implementation REACT strategy could improved the experimenting skill in science learning. This was proved by the increasing average grade of the experimenting skill on each cycle, which the precycle action’s average grade was obtained 68,32, the first cycle’s average grade was obtained 76,56, the second cycle’s average grade was obtained 83,62, and the third cycle’s average grade was obtained 88,91. The amount of students that reached the experimenting skill category’s pass mark (85) before the action (precycle) were 4 students or 11,76%, in the first cycle were 14 students or 41,18%, in the second cycle were 25 students or 73,53%, and in the third cycle were 32 students or 94,12%.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan keterampilan bereksperimen pada pembelajaran IPA melalui penerapan strategi REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) pada siswa kelas V-3 SD Negeri Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Bentuk penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dan tiap siklus berlangsung selama dua pertemuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, portofolio, tes, dan dokumentasi. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu model interaktif. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penerapan strategi REACT dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bereksperimen pada pembelajaran IPA. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya nilai keterampilan bereksperimen pada setiap siklusnya, yaitu pada tindakan prasiklus diperoleh nilai rata-rata 68,32, pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata 76,56, pada siklus II diperoleh nilai rata-rata 83,62, dan siklus III diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 88,91. Jumlah siswa yang nilainya mencapai batas kelulusan kategori terampil (≥85) pada prasiklus sebanyak 4 siswa atau 11,76%, pada siklus I sebanyak 14 siswa atau 41,18%, pada siklus II sebanyak 25 siswa atau 73,53%, dan pada siklus III sebanyak 32 siswa atau 94,12%.
