PENERAPAN METODE EKSPERIMEN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP GAYA

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to improve student’s comprehension about the concept of force by application of Experiment method on the fourth grade student of SD Negeri 01 Joton academic year 2013/2014. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). The research performed in two cycles. Each cycle consist of planning, action research, observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is the fourth grade student and teacher of SD Negeri 01 Joton which consist of 36 students. The tecniques of collecting data in this research are document, observation, test, and interview. The tecnique of analyzing data using descriptive comparative which compare student’s test score from pre-cycle, first cycle, until second cycle. The result of this research show through the application of Experiment method can improve student’s comprehension about the concept of force on the fourth grade student of SD Negeri 01 Joton academic year 2013/2014.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep gaya melalui penerapan metode Eksperimen pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 01 Joton tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa dan guru kelas IV SD Negeri 01 Joton dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 36 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi, observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model deskriptif komparatif yaitu membandingkan nilai pemahaman konsep gaya siswa dari kondisi awal, siklus I, hingga siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan metode Eksperimen dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep gaya pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 01 Joton tahun pelajaran 2013/2014.
