PENGGUNAAN MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP PERGERAKAN NASIONAL

Abstract

Abstract : The purpose of this research was to improve the understanding of national movement concept by using Snowball Throwing type of cooperative learning model. This research was a classroom action research which carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. As the data sources were the fifth grade students, the teacher, the headmaster, and the Lesson Plans (RPP). The data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interviews, documentation, and test. Data validation techniques used in this research were source triangulation and method triangulation. The data was analyzed by using comparative descriptive analytic models and critical analytic model. The average value of the precycle was 59,5, the first cycle increased to 74,5 , the second cycle increased to 80,83, and at the third cycle increased to 85,25. The conclusion of this research is using cooperative model of snowball throwing could improve the understanding of national movement concept on fifth grade students of SDN Gawan 01, Tanon, Sragen at 2013 academic year.

Abstrak: Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pergerakan nasional melalui model kooperatif tipe Snowball Throwing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Sebagai sumber data  yaitu siswa kelas V, guru, kepala sekolah, dan RPP. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan tes. Uji validitas data pada penelitan ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode.teknik analisi data yang digunakan yaitu teknik analisis deskriptif komparatif, dan teknik analisis kritis. Hasil penelitian sebelum tindakan sebesar  59,5; siklus I naik menjadi 74,5; pada siklus II naik menjadi 80,83, dan pada siklus III naik menjadi 85,25. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penggunaan model kooperatif tipe Snowball Thowing dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pergerakan nasional pada siswa kelas V SDN Gawan 01, Tanon, SragenTahun 2013.
