PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TIME TOKEN ARENDS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN TENTANG GLOBALISASI

Abstract


The purpose of this research is to increase understanding of globalization using cooperative learning model type Time Token Arends. This research used the classroom action research methods. The research process is conducted in two cycles. Every cycle consists of four stages, that is: Action planning: The implementation of the action; Observation, and Reflection. Data is collected by using is: Documentation; Observation; Interview, and Test. To test the validity of data, researchers used triangulation of data sources and triangulation methods. The data is analyzed by using an interactive analysis model, it consists of three component, that are: Data reduction; Display data, and Taking the conclucion. Based on result of the research, This can be proofed by the increased percentage of student understanding in the first cycle and second cycle. Increased understanding is proofed by the average values obtained before action (precycle) is 63.54 with 37% classical completeness. In the first cycle, the average grade increased to 71.3 with 63% classical completeness. After the second cycle of the action class average value increased to 78.8 with 85% classical completeness. it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning model type Time Token Arends can improve the understanding of globalization.
