Abstract

IMPROVING SPEAKING ABILITY THROUGH GROUP INVESTIGATION LEARNING MODEL (Classroom Action Research On Grade V Students Of 02 Pulosari Karanganyar Elementary School Academic Year 2017/2018).             This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve speaking ability through Group Investigation Learned Model on grade V students of SDN 02 Pulosari Academic Year 2017/2018. This cycles research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings which covered four components: planned, action, observation, and reflection.

 The data collected technique were observation, interview, test, and documentation. The data validity technique were content validation, source triangulation and technique triangulation. The techniques in analyzed data include data collection,data reduction,data presentation, and conclusion.

Based on the results, it can be concluded that the learning model of Group Investigation could improve the percentage of speaking ability students of grade V of SDN 02 Pulosari in the cycle I and cycle II. In the pre-cycle, the average score was 56,88 with the percentage of completeness was 32%. In the first cycle, the average score increased become 72,02 with the percentage of completeness was 52%. In the second cycle, the average score improved to 77,9 with the percentage of completeness was 84%. According to the data above, it was concluded that the learning model of Group Investigation could improve speaking ability grade V students of SDN 02 Pulosari, Subdistrict of Kebakramat, Karanganyar Regency, Academic Year 2017/2018.
