PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM SOLVING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA KELAS IV SD

Abstract


Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of using problem solving model to the problem solving ability of grade 4.The type of research used is experimental research with One groupPretest-Posttest Control Design design. The research subjects with were 20 students as a class application of problem solving model. The instruments used were for test and nontest test. The test was used for collecting the cognitive result, while the non test was aimed to determine the level of ability of students and non-test in the form of observation to know the process of learning problem solving model. The results of the data were analyzed by normality and homogeneity test and then continued by t-test data analysis technique with SPSS 20 for windows. The results showed that the sig value of 0.000 < 0.005 which means learning model problem solving effect on the ability of solving problems of math students grade IV elementary school.

 

Abstrak. Penelitian ini berujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model  problem solving terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas IV SD. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai yaitu penelitian eksperimen dengan desain One group Pretest-Posttest Control Design. Subjek penelitian dengan 20 siswa sebagai kelas penerapan model problem solving. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari instrumen tes dan nontes  yaitu tes dilakukan bertujuan mengetahui tingkat kemampuan siswa dan non tes berupa observasi untuk mengetahui proses berlangsungnya model pembelajaran problem solving. Hasil data dianalisis dengan uji normalitas dan homogenitas kemudian dilanjutkan teknik analisis data uji-t dengan SPSS 20 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai sig sebesar 0,000 < 0,005 yang artinya pembelajaran model problem solving berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas IV SD.
