PENGARUH PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PAIR CHECKS DAN GUIDED DISCOVERY TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SIFAT-SIFAT BANGUN DATAR DITINJAU DARI MINAT BELAJAR SISWA PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract


The research aims to know the differences of (1) guided discovery and pair checks model’s influence toward concept comprehension of plane properties; (2) learning interest influences in high and low category toward  concept comprehension of plane properties; (3) the effect interaction of  learning model implementation to the learning interest toward concept comprehension of plane properties. The population of this research was students of class V in elementary school in Nogosari subdistrict of Boyolali regency academic year 2016/2017. SD Negeri 1 Kenteng and SD Negeri 2 Nogosari were selected as the sample through cluster random sampling. This research used experimental method with 2x2 factorial design. Data were collected by questionnire for learning interest data, and test for the data of concept comprehension of plane properties. Those data were analyzed with two-way Anava test, followed with double comparison of Scheffe’ method with level of significance 0,05. The result showed that  (1) there were significance differences between guided discovery model and pair checks towards concept comprehension of plane properties (FA = 5,176 > F0,05;1;36 = 4,11). The students taught with guided discovery had better concept comprehension of plane properties than those who were taught with pair checks;(2) there were significance differences between learning categories of high and low toward concept comprehension of plane properties (FB = 49,386 > F0,05;1;36 = 4,11).  High interest had better influence than low infterest toward concept comprehension of plane properties; (3) there was effect interaction between learning model and learning interest toward concept comprehension of plane properties (FAB = 5,646 > F0,05;1;36 = 4,11).
