The Application of Collaborative Model of Predict Observe Explain (POE) Technique with Concrete Media in Improving Natural Science Learning of the Fifth Grade of SDN 2 Kemangguan
Abstract
The objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the application of collaborative model of POE technique with concrete media and (2) improve Natural Science learning. This research is a collaborative Class Action Research (CAR) that was conducted in three cycles. Subject of this research are fifth grade students of SDN 2 Kemangguan in academic year of 2014/2015 totalling 38 students. The results show that: (1) the application of collaborative model of POE technique with concrete media has been carried out through six steps, namely: (a) giving orientation and motivation; (b) introducing of experiment; (c) determination of prediction; (d) implementation of observation with concrete media; (e) explanation; and (f) follow up and (2) the application of collaborative model of POE technique with concrete media can improve Natural Science learning.
