NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS DALAM CERITA RAKYAT BATU NAGA LAMPUNG

Abstract


There are many ways that can be done to teach character education to children, one of them is folklore. This study analyzes the value of religious character education found in oral literature in the form of the legend of Batu Naga in the village of Kelumbayan-Lampung. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach by conducting direct observation, in-depth interviews and document analysis. Observation is done by coming to the research site, interviewing informants, analyzing documents such as stories written by humanists. Data sources were obtained from informants such as caretakers or local residents, places of physical objects, and relevant documents. The technique used is data reduction, data presentation, final conclusion. Filtering data related to the story under study, initial data in the form of oral then data is transcribed in the form of text so that it is easy to analyze and conclude. The results showed that there were five points of religious character education that could be taken from the figure including asking for help from God, becoming a religious teacher, performing the hajj pilgrimage, praying, not asking for help other than God, plus the education of helpful and unyielding characters. This type of folklore is a legend.
