This classroom action research aimed to find out how the Historical Sites-Based History Learning in Bima is to improve the local cultural tenacity in the XI IPS (Social Science) 1 Graders of MAN 2 (the Second State Islamic Senior High School) of Bima City using inquiry method. The research method employed in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR) one in three cycles with participatory approach between the teacher and the author, in the form of action or treatment using inquiry method in history learning. The subject of research was the XI IPS 1 Graders of MAN 2 of Bima City, while the object derived from the result of observation on teaching-learning process activity involving teacher’s teaching activity, students’ activity and creativity, headmaster’s activity and archival document, and photographs of activity encompassing Planning, Acting, Observing and Reflecting stages.

 

The problem of research was the low learning outcome because the learning involved the students inadequately. Therefore, this study employed inquiry method in Historical Sites-Based History Learning in Bima that could improve the learning outcome of the XI IPS 1 Graders of MAN 2 of Bima City. From the action conducted and considering the posttest value, it could be seen that the student learning achievement increased in respective cycles indicated by the achievement of Minimum Passing Criteria (KKM) of 28.57% with the mean value KKM of 57.14% with the mean value of 75.02 in cycle I, of 73.02 in pre-cycle, KKM of 82.85% with the mean value of 79 in cycle II, KKM of 100% with the mean value of 82.85 in cycle III. Meanwhile, the local cultural tenacity score based on the attitude scale score from the questionnaire data for each cycle increased from the achievement of KKM of 14.28% with the mean value of 75.88 in pre-cycle to 71.42% with the mean score of 80.54 in cycle I, to 91.42% with the mean score of 82.71 in cycle II, and to 100% with the mean score of 84.57 in cycle III.
