PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN IPA MELALUI MODEL NUM-BERED HEADS TOGETHER(NHT) DENGAN MEDIA PUZZLE

Abstract


Abstract. The purpose of the research was to improve science learning quality through Numbered Heads Together model with puzzle for students of IVA grade SDN Petompon 02, Semarang. The research was action research, consisted of three cycles. Each cycle consisted of one meeting, The subjects were teacher and students of IVA SDN Petompon 02, Semarang. Data collection technique used test and nontest. The result of the research showed improvement of teacher skills, In the first cycle scored 18 (64.2%) in high category, The second cycle was 21 (75%) in high category. The third cycle was 25 (89.2%) belongs to very high category. The result showed students activity in the first 20.58 (73%) in high category. The second was 21.46 (76%) in high category. The third cycle was 24.9 (90%) in very high category. The result of science learning also increased. The first cycles was 71%. The second cycle was 78%. The third cycle was 83%. The conclusion was Numbered Heads Together model with puzzle media improved the teacher skill, students activities, and the result of science learning in IVA grade SDN Petompon 02, Semarang.

 

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran IPA melalui model Numbered Heads Together dengan media Puzzle pada siswa kelas IVA SDN Petompon 02 Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas terdiri dari tiga siklus masing-masing satu kali pertemuan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas IVA SDN Petompon 02 Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes dan nontes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru, pada siklus I memperoleh skor 18 (64,2%) kategori baik, siklus II skor 21 (75%) kategori baik, siklus III skor 25(89,2%) kategori sangat baik. Skor aktivitas siswa pada siklus I sebesar 20,58 (73%) kategori baik, siklus II skor 21,46 (76%) kategori baik, siklus III skor 24,90 (90%) kategori sangat baik. Hasil belajar IPA juga mengalami peningkatan dengan persentase ketuntasan belajar siklus I sebesar 71%, siklus II sebesar 78%, siklus III menjadi 83%. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah melalui penerapan model Numbered Heads Together dengan media Puzzle dapat meningkatkan keterampilan guru, aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar dalam pembelajaran IPA kelas IVA SDN Petompon 02 Semarang.
