Abstract


Abstract: The research objectives are as follows: Describe the improvement of learning outcomes through the application
of cooperative learning type STAD model for grade V students of SD Negeri 3 Mayahan Kec. Tawangharjo Kab. Grobogan
in the first semester of the 2016/2017 school year. The design set in this study is classroom action research. The study
consisted of two cycles. In one cycle or round consists of four components, namely planning, acting, observing, and
reflecting. The subjects of this study were teachers and fifth grade students of SD Negeri 3 Mayahan, Tawangharjo District,
Grobogan Regency. The number of students is 19 students consisting of men and women. This research was conducted in
class V SD Negeri 3 Mayahan District. Tawangharjo Kab. Grobogan. When the study began on August 22 to October 25,
2016. The study was successful if 75% of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Mayahan experienced learning completeness
of individuals with grades> 70 in mathematics learning material operations of integer count operations using rounding and
estimating properties. The results showed that there was an increase in teacher performance, student activity, and
mathematics learning outcomes the subject of integer count operations using rounding and estimating properties for grade
V students of SD Negeri 1 Mayahan Kec. Tawangharjo Grobogan Regency. Improved student learning outcomes can be
seen in the test results with an average value of 53.25 in the initial test, 63.00 in the first cycle, and 79.75 in the second
cycle. Individual learning completeness is 15% of students from 40 students in the initial test, 62.5% in cycle I, and 92.5%
or 37 students in cycle II, Improving teacher performance with a score of 69 with criteria both in cycle I and score
acquisition 77 with very good criteria in cycle II. The increase in student activity results of observation obtained a score of
67 with criteria both in the first cycle and the acquisition of a score of 76 with very good criteria in the second cycle. The
questionnaire results show that students respond positively to the Mathematics learning process the subject of integer
counting operations using rounding and estimating properties by applying the cooperative learning model type Student
Teams-Achievement Division (STAD).
